Albert R. Lester Sr., 65, of Powhatan, died February 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Lee Hatch Lester; his children, Sandra L. Nuckols-Martin and her husband, Donnie Martin, Judy L. Payne and her husband, Jimmy Payne, Henry T. Lester and his wife, Vickie Proffitt Lester, all of Powhatan, Albert R. Lester, Jr. and his wife, Lorraine Winfree Lester of Chesterfield; three sisters, Glenna Chapman of North Tazewell, Maria Whitt of Mt. Sidney and Alta Supthin of Mechanicsville; and nine wonderful grandchildren. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the Graceland Baptist Church Cemetery, Powhatan.
