Music MinistryThe music at Graceland Baptist seeks to be an integral part of the worship experience. Minister of Music and the Pastor plan the integration of hymns, responses, scripture, anthems, and calls to worship with the worship theme of the day
Adult ChoirThe adult choir meets at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday. They prepare hymns and anthems for each Sunday's worship. This group faithfully presents an anthem each Sunday and leads the congregation in the hymn singing, as well as providing responses, calls to worship, and benedictions.
Handbell ChoirOur handbell choir uses a 2-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells. We practice at 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoons. We welcome anyone who has the desire to learn to play handbells. You do not need to read music.
Worship Team Our Worship Team leads the congregation in praise and worship during our contemporary service at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday morning. The team includes instrument players such as guitar as well as lead singers.
Youth MinistryGraceland Baptist youth group welcomes all students in the 7th - 12th grades. The youth meet on Sunday nights from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM. Graceland’s youth ministry recognizes that the students are developing their unique, individual faith in and relationship with God. The youth activities are designed to challenge, to nurture, and to enrich the students’ relationships not only with God but also with one another. The students participate in a summer mission trip, the Youth Evangelism Conference, a summer Vacation Bible School, two community mission endeavors, and other exciting activities.
Children's MinistryGraceland Baptist welcomes all children and provides outlets to learn about God's love through many age-appropriate learning environments. Graceland Baptist is committed to providing a safe, warm, caring environment where children are free to express their faith in the way God has created them. Sunday mornings provide Sunday School for all ages. Children are encouraged to join with their parents in celebrating worship through a children's sermon time. To enhance the child's learning experience the church provides children's bulletins as well as Junior Church for grades one through three. Extended session is provided for children birth through 5 years old.
Care Team MinistryThe Graceland Baptist Care Team is a group of caring members who provide love and support to our members in times of need. The members send cards; makes phone calls as well as hospital and home visits to show our support and love
Discipleship 101 ClassDiscipleship classes are offered on an on-going basis for in depth small group study. They meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday night. Classes offered in the past have been Experiencing God by Henry T. Blackaby and Claude V. King, The Purpose Driven Life and The Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren and many others.
Food for the Soul Food PantryOur Mission: The ‘Food for the Soul’ food pantry at Graceland Baptist Church is ministering to our neighbors in need by providing nutritious food for the body, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ for the soul. We provide one grocery bag of non-perishable food items per household on the 1st Monday and 3rd Thursday of every month (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) If you want to support this ministry, contact the church office at 598-3481.
Baptist MenThis group of men meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and fellowship with one another followed by planning and discussion of mission opportunities in the community and beyond. They provide support and leadership for the Royal Ambassador Program (a mission program for boys). All men are welcome.
Royal Ambassadors with 4 C's (RAC4)Boys in the 1st through 6th grade join together for fun, fellowship and learning about the needs of others. They meet at 11:00 on Sunday mornings during the 11 a.m. worship service.
WOM: Women on MissionBarbara Vincent & Angela Nard lead this group of ladies who help the church focus on education, involvement in and support of missions. Through many activities and events, they support missions on the national, state and local level. They meet the 2nd Sunday month at 12:30 p.m. at the church for fun and fellowship to provide support.
Girls in Action (GA's)Girls in Action or GA’s is a WMU ministry organization for girls in 1st through 6th grades who are interested in missions. GA members are actively involved in learning about missions, praying for and giving to missions, and actually doing missions themselves. of missionaries in telling people about Jesus. Participation in GA helps girls develop spiritually and grow up to be missions-minded women. A comprehensive children’s ministry that includes GA leads to a healthy church. Missions’ education teaches that God is active and working in the world today. It helps girls understand that the world is bigger than their own communities. They meet on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. for fellowship, fun, learning and enjoy doing craft projects. GA Leaders are: Danielle Smith and Peggy Lawhorne
Children/Youth ChoirChildren/Youth Choir meets most Sundays at 5:00 p.m. It is open to all school age children who have a desire to express themselves through song and movement. They prepare special music with movement that is presented in Sunday's worship.
